This is part of the concern about using AI for creative work; since we can’t easily tell where the information comes from, the AI may be using elements of work that might be copyrighted or patented or just taking someone’s style without permission. This is especially true for image generation, where it is very possible for an AI to closely reproduce a work “in the style of Picasso” or “inspired by Banksy” that has many of the features of the artist without any of the human meaning behind it.
