“I think someone wants to speak to you,” she whispers, without a hint of embarrassment. “Us. Baby. They’ll be speaking to ‘us’,” I correct her.
I want her so fucking much.
He can’t control me anymore. I have something more powerful than any of them. Frankie.
Running my hands through my hair, I take a deep breath and make my decision. I need to get back to him. I couldn’t stand seeing him with another woman earlier; it made me murderous. I’ve been through this before, and I don’t want the same ending this time.
“Thank fuck for that,” he says, almost to himself. I shake my head in confusion at his reaction. He almost seems happy. I don’t get a chance to question him as his lips crash over mine and his fingers lace around my throat.
He pulls back with a glint in his eye. “How do you suggest we deal with them, dolcezza? Should I kill them?” he asks.
“I guess you could? Or use them to blackmail my way back into the force? That way I can dig for information there?” A smirk creeps up on his lips as he leans forward. “Perfect answer, baby. But, no. I don’t want you near them. Not without me.”
“I didn’t expect to fall for you, dolcezza. I don’t play games. I certainly don’t open my heart to anyone. Yet, here you are.”
“You think I’d let a guy do the things you do to me, if it wasn’t real?”
“I don’t play games either, Frankie. Either trust me and let me help you or leave me. I ask for two things: trust and respect. If you can’t give me both of those, we are done.” My heel clicks against the floor as I stomp my foot for emphasis.
His jaw tightens, and I hold his stare. I’m not giving in. He came after me; he made me his. If he wants to keep me, I’m not settling for anything less.
“You aren’t going anywhere, Zara. Not now, not ever.”
I want to know everything there is about this man. “I meant what I said, Frankie.” “I know. I expect the same back. Don’t ever disrespect me like that in public. I don’t care how pissed off you are, save it for when we are home. Do you understand me?”
“I understand, sir.” I bite down on my lip. “Am I going to be punished?” “Absolutely. Right now, I just need to be inside that tight pussy. You have no idea how hard that made me.”
“Now stop talking and bend over and take it like a good fucking girl,” he rumbles into my ear.
He owns my body and my pleasure completely.
“This is where you should be, dolcezza.”
I shift uneasily on his lap, the pressure of his throbbing dick against my ass intensifying as he holds me closer. “Don’t Zara,”
“Another hundred thousand on top of our deal, yes,” the masked man answers in his deep Russian accent. “What is the original deal?” I ask, my voice quiet as every man in the room stares at me. “Half a million and three month's worth of weapon supply,” Frankie responds. I can hear the amusement in his tone. “If we’re taking care of the paperwork and getting the girls to you, plus providing weapons, why would we pay you anymore?” I idly trace one of Frankie’s tattoos that thread across the back of his thumb, I keep my focus on Mikhail.
“Why are you speaking to me?” “Why not?” I counter, lifting my chin. “You don’t run Frankie’s business. You are just a hot piece of ass. I don’t answer to you,” he says gruffly.
I can sense Frankie's anger radiating off him as he stiffens b...

“If you don’t apologize to Zara in the next thirty seconds, the whole deal is off and I will take my entire army into Vegas and we will tear your empire to the ground. She is my woman and she will be treated with respect from all of you. Do I make myself clear?” The chill in his voice br...

“That is your first and only warning, Mikhail. Now answer her questions. I could do without another war.”
Her face lights up and I’m rewarded with a smile, which makes my heart race.
That fire in her eyes leaves a heavy feeling in my chest. I love it when she’s like this. Her passion, her grit. It gets me every damn time.
I want her to be part of this dysfunctional family we have.
Now she’s here, I need to make sure she doesn’t go anywhere. She was made for me, that I am sure of.
Zara looks up, and waves at me and I shove my hands in my pockets giving her a grin, my heart racing.
“You ready to go, gorgeous?” I whisper in her ear, wrapping my arms around her. “Awww, look at you two, all in love,” Maddie says. We both stiffen.
I know I loved Leila, but it didn’t feel anything like this. There wasn’t this fire. We grew up together; we fell in love over time. This is the opposite. Zara threw herself into my life and consumed me entirely.
It’s as if without her, I can’t fucking breathe. I’ve never felt this. I never want to with anybody else. This need to own her, for her to be mine. For her to stand by my side and be my queen. Fuck.
It’s quite plausible this is even more than love....

I’m not going to deny my feelings for this woman. I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her by my side.
“Blood and family are not the same thing, angel.”
My family is this dysfunctional one we’ve created. Men who would lay down their lives for me, that I trust. This woman is also part of that.
“We make our own family of the ones we choose.”
“And those are the ones you never let go of,” I whisper against her mouth, hoping she understands my meaning behind them.
“The ones you fight for,” she says, and kisses me. “Exactly that, dolcezza.”
“You can’t escape me. Even in your dreams, dolcezza.” His voice is husky.
He laces his fingers with my left hand and places it on his chest with a mischievous grin. “What’s so funny?” His eyes flick down to our hands. I’m staring at what could be the biggest pear-shaped diamond ring I’ve ever seen in my entire life, on a thin gold band with red diamonds clustered on either side.
It’s absolutely gorgeous. But, wait. I know what this is. “You are joking, right?” I try to pull my hand back and he holds it in place over his heart. “Mine, dolcezza. See what ...

“What? No. Why?” My thoughts jumble into a mess of words. He traces my snake tattoo with one finger, raising goosebumps with each feathery touch. “You’re mine. I want you in every sense of the word. My wife.” “It only counts if you get down on your knees, sir.”
No’ isn’t an answer, Zara.” “Well, maybe try the proposal again,” I shout back and slam the door. Every day I give him more and more of my heart, willingly.
If he wants to marry me, he can damn well ask me properly. I’m certain my heart belongs to him. No matter how much I tried to fight him, it was always meant to be his.
“What the fuck is this?” I shout, holding my empty pill packet. He takes a step towards me, I hold my ground, trembling with rage. “It’s exactly what it looks like.”
“Why did you do this? It’s a pain in the ass to get more.” “You don’t need them.”
“You really want me to pop you out a goddamn heir?” I laugh, because this is a joke. A serious expression settles on his face, his jaw visibly clenches. I stop laughing. Shit. “You’re for real, aren’t you?”
“Deadly. I want you by my side, where you belong.”
In this second, I’d give this man whatever the hell he wants. He was right. You chose your family, and I chose this one.
“Give me one good reason.” “Just imagine, coming home from work and mini versions of us running around the house causing chaos. With two parents who will burn down the earth to protect them. Family, dolcezza. We can build a legacy, a home. We can have everything we fucking deserve in life. I want that with you.”
