Who would I be when I left this apartment? What does that person wear and where do they go? I had no answer for this, so instead of settling on a few items and leaving space for what I might find out there, I packed all the versions of me. And now I am carting them all up many flights of stairs and they are very heavy.

I always know my way home from wherever I am, and at the moment I’m approximately an eighteen-minute walk from my bed.
