How can you live without a phone?” I give her a hard stare. “You can’t live without your phone?” “No, not really.”
But I realize, for all her preparation, for all her teaching, for all the times she kept me safe, she still failed me. I don’t know enough about this world and I don’t know what the hell I’m doing.
“This is the problem with crushes,” Winnie says with a smirk. “They tend to warp your judgment and common sense.”
