Seems strange to grasp for holiness in a dark, squat building like this.
There must always be some form of death, I say in my mind. Life grows out of the bones of what came before.
it opens the whole world, it shows me the depth of the lesson. There can only ever be surrender; a surrender to the way things are, to the rise of the sun and the rhythm of the waves, and death as it cycles again into life. And we need only keep our hands open, and trust in it; that the sun will rise again, and that what we wish for the most will come to us in its own time.
