I’m so engrossed in the pages that I don’t even hear Viv knock, but then my door opens, and suddenly, a shadow falls over me, causing me to almost jump out of my fucking skin and slam the book shut. Shit. Shit. Shit. I try to shove it under me before she sees what it is, but she snags it out of my hand before I’m able to. Damnit, she’s quick.
