Inocenta, running to my left, screamed a war cry worthy of devils. Inocenta’s scream did something else as well. It made her bird Richu scream, imitating her, wanting to please her. Bellu, good boy, the best of corvids, sweet sweet Bellu, also screamed. I had never heard a corvid make that sound before, and I had not known they could.
