Things had not yet reached that point, but I did not see how to avoid conflict with her. I wanted this not because I feared to be punched, though of course I did not wish to be. I simply did not care. It is tiring to deal with someone who has made an enemy of you when you do not think of them at all. But, of course, this is often why they hate you.
