I want them to know there are consequences to treating people in ways that are harmful or problematic on a public platform, and so that’s what I like to think of myself as: a tangible consequence.
It’s not our fault if we are born ignorant, but it is our fault if we die that way.
is it delusional and dishonest, it’s a race to the bottom. If your approach to connecting with anyone, not just men, is based on superiority, then it will never provide a stable foundation for a meaningful relationship of any kind.
No matter how many women you try to step on to be seen by the world’s most mediocre men, you will never be taller than any man. You will always be one step below. And how can they respect you when they’re always looking down at you?
Women and femmes are unafraid of thankless work and are no strangers to being underestimated, unaccommodated, and pushed beyond our capabilities, all while being forced to walk the tightrope of being ambitious and hardworking while also not being perceived as a “bitch.” Our labor is often invisible, but we’re always working … and most of the time with a smile on our face (real or not, misogynists can never tell). And this is because, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, women run shit.
Everyone deserves to exist safely and wholly as themselves in this world.
