It’s not our fault if we are born ignorant, but it is our fault if we die that way.
the beautiful thing about being alive is that there is something valuable to be learned at every phase of it.
The devil works hard, but the patriarchy works harder.
Support from women is a gift. It’s a resource in which you can find not only community, but empowerment.
Learning how to love yourself—like, truly love yourself—is not easy. In fact, it might be one of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do. But look, there’s only one person you’ll be with from the moment you are born until the moment you die—yourself. Give yourself a chance.
Everyone deserves to feel comfortable in their own body, and love their body, even, but damn, do they make it hard for us to get there.
Toxic masculinity also shames men who are attracted to people of all shapes and sizes into believing they need to adhere to what they believe other men find acceptable and attractive. They treat dating primarily as a way of elevating their status with other men, and this almost always encompasses ugly truths about racism, transphobia, and fatphobia. Misogynistic men love to worship one another, and tragically this activity can take precedence over finding any semblance of genuine connection with women, platonic or romantic.
No one gets a medical degree or nutritionist license faster than a fatphobic person who noticed you gained a lot of weight.
Don’t dim your light so inferior men won’t have to cover their eyes in your presence.
There is no right way to be a woman, only your way.
