The choice was easy; I would always fight for myself. It would take time, but I would see it done. What happened to me did not define me, but was simply an explanation for who I was and how I reacted. My trauma would help the world in some way, and it would not remain meaningless. One day, I would bathe in the blood of my enemies as I cut them down and sought my vengeance. No one would hurt me ever again.
Would I ever experience the freedom of good things happening to me? Because the more I thought and learned about the life of a princess, the more it seemed like a different set of chains.
I like this part, I like that it gets revisited by the author how she feels. izadora is having a lot of breakthrough moments and I like being told about them as she's going through them in this way. it helps connect me to the story ad this is a plot point.
