To everyone who has been to hell and back and remains unbroken

I was a fighter. I could do this.
But maybe, just maybe, sharing what had ripped apart my soul would free me from the chains that tethered the fear to my core.
“We may have removed the chains from your body, but only you can remove the chains from your mind. You have an opportunity now to change your story for the better. You are not meant to be a victim. You are meant for so much more.”
I had power over my story, and I would own every word of it.
“You are whoever you want to be,” Endre said simply. “Don’t lose sight of what you want for yourself because someone else wants a different path for you.
You will never be able to please everyone, so make yourself happy instead.”
“The most beautiful blooms hide the sharpest thorns. You are a deadly bloom, Izidora, and don’t let anyone see your thorns until it’s too late.”
The only way out is through.”
But I was far stronger than them, and I could walk in the darkness without succumbing to it.
I found my inner fire, fueling it instead of my fear, and decided that no matter what happened, I was going to fight like a wild cougar with fangs and claws for what was right for me.
