Ryker’s voice sounded good. His gravelly, almost smoky tone sent a bolt of desire running through her.

“She’s mine.”

His vampire.

She was the other half that would complete him. His soul recognized hers.

“It doesn’t matter what we’re talking about because hearing your voice is like listening to my favorite music. I could do it all day long. Like an enchantress, you enthralled me with your voice.”

“I enjoy coffee. Pastries, also. There’s nothing like the thrill of playing a game of chess and winning against a worthy opponent. Those are all things I enjoy.”
