Trusting in God’s will of decree is good. Following His will of desire is obedient. Waiting for God’s will of direction is a mess. It is bad for your life, harmful to your sanctification, and allows too many Christians to be passive tinkerers who strangely feel more spiritual the less they actually do. God is not a Magic 8-Ball we shake up and peer into whenever we have a decision to make. He is a good God who gives us brains, shows us the way of obedience, and invites us to take risks for Him.

I had this book recommended to me 2 years ago. I finally picked it up and boy am I glad. For so long I as a Christian have over complicated my life plans leading to anxiety about the future. I have been surrounded by over spiritualization and never bothered to check the Bible regarding the topic of decision making. After reading this book though, that anxiety has been lifted off my shoulders and a sort of relief regarding my next steps has been given. God is not complicated and He does not hide His wisdom from those who seek it. I think this quote really sums up the book. I 100% recommend this book whether you’re making a big decision right now or not.
