When we think of ourselves as good servants and give Him our whole being — our spirit, our actions, and our decisions — this is true prayer.
Only the truth is safe. Only truth is so firm that I can rely on it. Only truth gives me consolation — it is the one unbreakable diamond.
This is what real faith is: it is not to be found in rituals or formal sacrifices but in the unification of the people.
All good things are accomplished when a person forgets about himself. The world exists only because people act in this way.
The person who commits moral sin, such as pride or excessive wealth, cannot always percieve these sins and temptations with his eyes.
An argument convinces no one, but rather divides people and makes them angry. We almost always find in ourselves the same sin we blame in others.
Small problems can make us lose our balance. Big problems, to the contrary, can bring us back to real life, our spiritual life.
Life is too short. There is not enough time in our brief lives to bring enough joy to our loved ones. Therefore, let us make haste to show acts of kindness.
Remember, you do not abide but rather pass through this life.
The more spiritual our life becomes, the more we believe in eternity.
but someone who says he believes when he doesn’t.
The first step to moral perfection — as strange as it may seem — is to liberate yourself from the religion you grew up with.
Hesitations do not destroy but strengthen faith.
and try to save yourself. Then, you will save the world.
God loves solitude. He will enter your heart only when He alone is around you, and when you are thinking only about Him.
Living for others and not yourself elevates your life from your body to your spirit,
you live well, it won’t matter whether people blame or praise you, or even if they cease to love you.
Just as wearing heavy clothes slows your body down, riches weigh down your soul.
Hell hides behind pleasure, paradise hides behind work and trouble.
If you worry too much about being praised, it becomes difficult to act.
Only you can decide what to do in your life, and knowing this will make your life a lot easier.
feel ashamed that I have not lived according to my conscience and have followed the stupid rules, habits, and traditions of others.
Forgiving others doesn’t just mean saying “I forgive” but also removing all reproach
from your heart. To do this, remember your sins.
Teach your heart, and do not learn from it. — BUDDHIST PROVERB
The greatest thinkers I’ve met among scholars were those who read the least.
that freeing yourself from sin or prejudice is the most important thing you can
Moral action is measured not by how important it is, but how much effort you put into it.
People think self-denial violates freedom, but our own intimate passions are the worst dictators. As soon as you are able to deny them, you gain your true freedom.
The entranceway to the Temple of Goodness and Knowledge is found low to the ground.
Always tell the truth, no matter how bitter and unpleasant it may be to other people.
We feel illness as an affliction, a burden, but illness is an important part of life. It shows us that our bodies live a temporary, not an eternal life.
To help yourself not do evil deeds, first try to avoid evil conversation.
As soon as you learn to avoid evil thoughts, you will learn to avoid evil deeds.
But we don’t like to think that we need to treat what we say with the same caution.
A wise person is always aware that his words can be louder than his deeds, and therefore keeps silent for a long time before he speaks.
Silence is the best response to a stupid man. Any bad word or criticism bounces back to

Do not search for pleasure. Rather, be ready to find pleasure in anything you do. — JOHN RUSKIN
but daily living a good life, being kind to your neighbor, treating him or her as you want to be treated. This is true faith.
Do not be afraid to purge your faith of all unnecessary things — physical, material, and visible. The better you cleanse your spiritual core, the better you understand the law of life.
Society cannot live a kind and intelligent life without religion. You can force but not convince people without religion.
As soon as you believe your life is in your spirit, there is nothing to fear, for no one can harm your spirit.
The essence of true life is your attitude, during the different stages of your life, toward your spiritual self, and your ability to follow that voice living inside you.
To grasp the true meaning of things, you need to shift your gaze from the visible to the invisible, from the material to the spiritual. To see the true light as it is, you yourself need to become this true light.
You will find this happiness because, when you serve others, you become one with the spirit living in us all.
Rid yourself of everything that prevents you from connecting with all living creatures. Try to strengthen this connection as much as you can.
The more you live for your body, the less you communicate and unite with others.
