don't know what would compel Ah-lee-ya to spread her legs that way for me. Perhaps, a darker thought says to me, she's only been trying to pay me back for caring for her. That idea hurts more than any other. What I didn't expect was for her to invite herself along on my hunt.
It calls to me the way that hunger does when you're starving, as if everything will be all right if you can just find food. She is my food, my water, my shelter.
