She called the view of humanity at the top of an evolutionary chain “arrogant” and “juvenile.” “Who said that science is the only way of knowing? As a scientist, I love science,” Gagliano said at Dartmouth. “I think it’s a beautiful way to describe the world. But it is not the only way.”
