When it was his turn at the mic, he pointed to a “conundrum.” The speakers, he noted, had all pretty much agreed insects were in trouble, but when it came to a cause, there was no consensus: some blamed climate change, others farming practices. “It’s pretty phenomenal that we have so many scientists looking at this problem and yet are not exactly certain what the stressors are,” he observed.
