A particularly difficult introverted function, from the standpoint of personal relations, is introverted thinking, because when the object of introverted thinking is a person, ‘this person has a distinct feeling that he matters only in a negative way’. Often, ‘he feels himself warded off as something definitely disturbing’ (Jung 1971: 383).
