“You want me to what?” I asked. “Fuck you hard? Choke you out? Make you scream?” They were the standard requests I’d always received. No one wanted tenderness from a guy built like me. Eve swallowed, and I could see her neck moving in the moonlight. It looked so heartbreakingly delicate. Something could happen to her; she was so small and fragile. The thought sent anxiety rushing through me. “I just want you,” she then whispered and pushed all other thoughts out of my brain. I leaned up to study her. She wasn’t teasing me or goading me. All playfulness had left her eyes. She was being honest.
