“Lor! When are you going to get it through your head that I am totally, completely fucking in love with you!” She attempts to retreat, but I take another step until she’s backed against the window. “You’re all I think about. I’ve never felt like this about anyone, and I’d do anything for you. You’ve become my air and my blood and my only reason to exist. I love you, Lor. I love you so much it makes my heart feel ready to burst.”
“If we have to give her the ark, then that’s what we’ll do.”
“But what if—”
I can’t help but think it represents the two of us, contradictory and at odds but also yielding to each other to create something that makes my bones ache and my blood simmer.
“I want to be your safe place, Lor. No matter what happens, I will always be there for you.”
“That’s my girl,” he growls. “You take my cock so fucking good.”

“No, but I can give you this. A birthday present.” I take it from him and crack open the lid. Inside is a beautiful ring with a deep red stone. “What’s this for?” I ask, pulling it out. “It’s my promise to you,” he says. “To keep you safe. “Look, I’m going to need something more here. What am I doing here? What’s going on? This is all very mysterious, but the last thing I remember is being kidnapped by my mortal enemy, and if I’m not dead, then I really need to get back and deal with that shi—stuff.” I’m not sure why cursing next to these gods feels wrong, but I correct myself at the last moment.
I am not going to lie this made me chuckle
Cause girl same don't think I could curse In front of any gods…. Well actually after everything you been through you deserve to curse a little
The beat slows, shuddering to a sluggish pace. Thump. Thump. thump. thu… My magic slides against a dense knot of tissue and blood, then… I feel his heart stop. … Silence, horrible unbearable infinite silence, shatters in my ears. The ribbon falls away, and I imagine it, suspended in the slow death of time, twirling to the floor, limp and lifeless as it collapses into a weightless curl. My ribcage cracks, my heart imploding and leaking out on a crimson flood of all my mistakes. I collapse on top of Nadir, pressing my cheek to his chest, my hands fisting in his shirt, as the forest echoes with
