Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault (Expanded Edition)

If reason is socially constructed, then it is not a tool of knowing reality.

I'm still not clear on how post-modernists reach this conclusion about reason. Or is it an axiom?
