What is Asperger Syndrome? Asperger Syndrome is a disability which in some ways is similar to autism. People with Asperger Syndrome generally look and sound normal. They have difficulties in the areas of social understanding and social communication. They can appear rude, gauche and arrogant and can behave in odd, eccentric and unpredictable ways. Asperger Syndrome can affect people from all walks of life and with various degress of intelligence from moderate learning difficulties to intellectually gifted.
