“I love you,” I whispered on a breath.
“Good,” he choked out, then he let go of me and dropped to his knees, like he was bowing to me. I quickly sank to the hard ground, collapsing along with him, reminding him, “Equals, remember?” A sexy smile cut across his lips as he reached for my hand. “Yes, but in this case, I was going to ask you to marry me.” He cupped my face between his big palms. “Patience when it comes to...

I nodded, the tears flying nonstop now, splattering over his hands. “Spend the rest of my life with you and have your children? Save the world somewhere in there, too?” I leaned in so our lips...

Introductions were being made between Sebastian and Diana. Gwen removed her wig and flung it over her arm as she went in for a hug instead of a handshake with my fiancée. Fiancée. Fuck. What a gorgeous fucking word, second only to wife.
“Dominick.” Renaud tipped his head instead of offering his hand. “Renaud.” I nodded back. “You still doing the whole not-killing thing because your wife prefers you not to?” The side of his lip lifted as if trying to fight off a smile. “And are you still killing people with silverware?”
She pulled her eyes up, unable to mask her nerves. “Are you sure you don’t need this?” I smiled and reminded her, “I have an angel on my back to protect me. Been carrying you around with me for years, remember?” Kissing her deeply, pouring every ounce of intention and promise into it, I whispered, “If I have your support, why would I ever need anything else?”
Carter’s breathing was slow. Almost too slow. When he shut his eyes, his grip of my hand went lax. Dallas gently pawed Carter’s chest as if trying to wake his dad, and that sight was heartbreaking.
“Right, right.” I grinned. “I think I read that in a medical book somewhere. Going down on each other cures any ache or pain.” “It’d make me feel a hell of a lot better.” He lifted his brows suggestively a few times, and seeing him happy, even if we were only in a temporary bubble, made my heart soar. “Hmm. Let me go talk to Oliver. I’ll be right back.” I stood, and he caught my wrist in one fast movement, pulling me back onto the couch. “Ask that man if I’m allowed to eat your pussy, and I will spank that sexy ass of yours,” he rasped. “Mmm. Promise?”
Keeping my feet off the ground, holding me tight to his hard frame, he whispered, “Do you know what day it is?” It took me a few seconds to work through the memories, and then it dawned on me. “Thirteen years since you rescued me. Since our first time meeting.” He brushed his lips against mine, still holding me up against him. “I’ll never let you fall, angel. Not ever.” Pressing my mouth to his, I murmured, “Just fall in love. More and more.”
“Stalker tendencies, huh?” I about dropped my phone at Mason’s words. I closed the security app on my phone since he’d caught me checking in on my wife at her lab in Dubai. “Any news?” I asked, hoping to deflect from the fact I was most definitely obsessed with my wife, and I had no plans to ever change that. Thankfully, that was exactly how she liked me.
She rested a hand over her abdomen, lightly shaking her head. “Your daddy is crazy. You’ll love him, though, just like I do.” My shoulders fell at her words. My chest squeezed with emotion. Me: She’s going to be just like her mother. My little angel. Or maybe there can only be one angel. You. She can be my little girl. How about that? Talking to the camera, she told me, “We’re only eight weeks. What if we’re having a boy? Me: Energy doesn’t lie ;) “You’re right about that. But the world could also use more men like you.” Me: I mean, I have no plans to stop at just one child. We can have a boy
