There are thousands of similar groups. If you look through their websites and mission statements, they typically claim they’re independent and nonpartisan. They insist their donors have no influence over their fact checks and reports. But keep in mind they have no obligation to tell the truth. Their work product reveals their true colors. They use money from vested interests to write propaganda in the name of science. They coordinate with news organizations to distribute the propaganda and call it journalism.
