“Jesus, the way you look at him…” Frankie mutters. “I wish someone would look at me like that.” “Like what?” “Like they wanna fight me and fuck me at the same time.”
“They make me feel nothing, okay? Not doing them makes me feel it all. All the pain and the guilt and the fucking misery. I’m sober because I deserve it. Because it hurts more.” He blinks at that, his gaze following the tear as it falls off my chin. “You wanna hurt?” I nod, my vision blurring, and a slow smirk touches his full lips, right before he pulls my face up and crashes his mouth into mine.
“Oh my God,” he chokes out. “Shit, Nate.” “I know,” I say softly, watching his body move as he grinds his ass up, fucking me back. “Fuck. Keep going just like that. You look so hot like this, baby.”
If I find out he’s been sneaking out of my house to fuck someone else, I’m gonna choke him until he pukes.
“Fuck, baby, you look so pretty,” I whisper, possessively grazing my thumb over the hickey beneath his ear. “You look like mine.” “Don’t,” he pleads, and I cock my head, watching him look up at me with sad eyes and a fragile heart. “Don’t make me fall for you.”
I press my lips to Xavi’s neck, catching his head in my hand when it almost falls off my shoulder. “It’s okay, baby. I got you.”
I licked it so it’s mine. Smiling a little, I toss the picture back into the box and gently set the lid on top. “Too bad, little sister,” I whisper. “He’s mine now.”
“If you even try to make me jealous tonight, I’ll fuck you so hard and for so long, you’ll never want dick again by the time I’m done with you.” “I’m not gonna try to make you jealous.” His arms come around my neck, his breath tickling my jaw. “I’m not trying to make you mad, Nate. I just wanted to look good for you.” My groan slips free, and I grab his hips, rubbing myself on him to show him how hard he’s making me. “You look so good, baby,” I rasp, cupping his face to study the eyeliner he’s wearing. “So pretty.”
“I want to mean something to you,” I admit. “Anything. I want you to remember me after you decide you’re done with me and kick me out of your life for good. I wanna ruin you so bad that it’s me you’ll think about every time you’re fucking the person you really wanna be with.”
“Baby, he’s balls deep in love with you and he hates you for it. That’s why he’s treating you like shit. That’s probably why he’s always treated you like shit.”
“I don’t love you, party boy,” I say, channeling every ounce of hate I have left. “It’s just a game.” He nods, expecting that, his eyes darkening as he works his jaw. “You’re a fucking liar.”
“If he’s not nothing, then what is he?” “He’s everything, you idiot,” I blurt out, blinking at my reflection as soon as the words leave my lips. Carter’s mouth twists into a slow, knowing smirk, and I release his head with a shove.
I’m getting my boy back whether he likes it or not.
“Nate, stop.” “Why? What’s wrong?” “If you’re playing with me…” “I’m not. I…” I pause. “I want you to be mine. For real this time. We can be for real.” He cries as he stares up at me, pinching his lips as if he’s trying to stop himself from saying something. He doesn’t need to say it. I already know what’s going through his head right now.
“Jesus Christ. I love you, okay?” I damn near shout, pushing him down on his back and crawling on top of him. “I hate myself for it but I fucking love you.” “That’s sweet.”
“I didn’t realize before you left last night but I…I’m not letting you go. I can’t do it. The thought of you walking away from me for good, finding some other guy and being with him instead of me…” My fingers curl as I picture it, and I cage his head in with my forearms. “I’ll never be able to stop chasing you, Xav. I won’t sit still or sleep or think about anything else until you’re mine again.”
“Say it again.” “I love you,” I groan into his mouth, hooking his legs around my waist. “But if you tell anyone everything I just said to you, I’ll beat your ass.”
Taking his right hand, I slide it onto his middle finger where he used to wear it. “Nate, what…?” “It’s yours, baby,” I say, running my finger over my number. “I’m yours.” “Fuck,” he whispers, his nose flaring as he fights the urge to cry again.
“I know you probably don’t believe me, but it’s the truth. I would have come for you, Xav.”
“I love you,” he finally says. “I’ve always loved you.” “I know,” I tease, brushing my lips against his. “I just wanted to hear you say it to me.”
“You know your parents would be a lot happier if you found a girl like that to fall for,” he says, tipping his chin at the tattoo shop. “She’s cute and funny and she loves basketball—”
“I don’t give a shit what makes them happy. You make me happy. Most of the time,” I joke, and he runs his tongue over his bottom lip, fighting a grin. “Do you think she’s prettier than me?” “Baby, nobody’s prettier than you,” I tease, leaning over him to brush his mouth with mine.
