They all alleged that Dr. Pou had come up to the seventh floor to end the lives of the nine surviving patients, and two recalled that Pou had told them directly that “lethal” was her intention. The patients had all indeed died. But had the plan actually been carried out? Why, and who was involved besides Pou? Who were the unnamed nurses? What Rider and Schafer needed to see was whether physical evidence corroborated the allegations.
