“Because I am.” Her frown deepened as she thought about something else. She remembered the short chat she’d had with the satyr. “I don’t even think Dorothy Gale is my true name.” “You would feel it if it was. Fae know.” Her head turned in his direction, but she couldn’t make out his expression in the dark. “What is it?” “I wouldn’t know. Crow or your mother will know your first name. Your true full name is something you’re born with and have to tap into.” Closing her eyes, Dorothy tried to tap into that bit of silver she’d been able to get to with Lion when she’d broken out from her glamour.

“Don’t worry about it.” Tin shifted closer, his arm almost brushing hers. “If you don’t know your true name, then no one else can know it either. You wouldn’t want to be controlled by another.” Something struck her then, and her heart dropped into her stomach. “Have you been controlled before?” He shook his head. “No one knows my true name except for me, but I’ve seen it happen to others.” Relaxing her shoulders, she leaned back into her pillow. “It’s a good secret to keep.”
