“I’ve done bad things, Valentine.” I brush my lips over her pinkened cheek. “But I’ll always be good to you.”
And other than our men dying of lead poisoning, there’s nothing connecting the crime scenes. They’re not even using the same type of bullets.
“My husband, explain whose stuff this is before I start throwing it off the balcony. I won’t have some skank’s stuff under my roof.”
“Maybe I didn’t make myself clear when I tattooed your name across my fucking throat. This”—I tap the letters—“is so everyone knows who I belong to.”
I’ve never given someone this sort of claim over me, and it feels fantastic.
“And inking the last words of my vow to you above my fucking dick.” I reach down and cup my hand over the front of my pants. “That’s all for you, Angel. So when you’re ready to wrap those lips around my cock and take me into your throat, you’ll be eye lev...

“Because if you ever see more than you should, your sight will be the first sense I take.”
“Press my buttons, Wife, and you’ll pay the consequences.”
“Here’s your fucking towel,” I snap, then throw the whole toaster over the top of the glass wall.
“I love it,” I cry. “I love your cock, you stupid bastard.”
“That was payback for calling Rob hot.” She scoffs, but I shake my head. “Turns out I’m a jealous bastard.”
You slept on our first plane ride together. Send. Big Guy: I know. It was a first. Big Guy: Something about you made me feel safe.
“If you were twenty years younger, I’d kick your ass.” The man grins. “If I were twenty years younger, I wouldn’t have to get your wife drunk to flirt with her.”
“First.” His tone is mocking. “I’ll probably spend two thousand tonight. And second, your dad is still ahead of me with the tuition he paid for. But I’ll even that out soon enough.”
Case in point, a tall stunner is walking past, a man at her side, but her eyes are all over Dominic. And I want to strangle her with her scarf.
Because everything breaks on Christmas.
“Valentine.” He waits for my gaze to meet his. “I’d choose you. You know that, right?” I move my head from side to side, not understanding him. Dom cups my cheek with his warm palm. “If there was no Alliance—never was—I’d still choose you.” Those words…
There is no room for mercy in The Alliance. And I am The Alliance now.
The dead men will never tell anyone how they died. But my men will talk among themselves. Word will get around. And then people will understand. They’ll finally understand just how off-fucking-limits my wife is.
King opens the door wide, stepping back to let us in. “Come in.” Dom steps forward, not grabbing the bags. “Fuck you.” And then Dominic Gonzalez punches King Vass in the face.
“I’m Dominic.” She places her palm in mine, even as I hear her psychotic husband growl. “But feel free to call me Daddy.”
“Who’s that?” Nero asks as he tries to slip his hand into my pocket to grab my brass knuckles. I knock his hand away. “Rob, my second. Now quit trying to grab my nuts.”
“I’m Aspen.” Rob gives her one of his bright smiles as he takes her hand. “I know. I’m Rob.” “And I killed her last husband,” King adds. “At her request.” Aspen lifts a shoulder, hand still in Rob’s. “It’s true.” “Hot.”
“Thanks, Big Guy. That was really nice.” Hearing her use that name, I squeeze her tighter against me.
“Yeah, well, toss it or not, I’m not going to give my wife a fake diamond when I’m a fucking diamond importer.”
“You ever added diamonds to a pair of knuckles?” “Jesus Christ, man.” I shake my head. “Do you want me to order you a fucking set?” Nero looks up. “Yeah.”
He pulls it open. But he doesn’t pull me out. He doesn’t even undo my seat belt. He just climbs into the vehicle. There is nowhere near enough space for his bulk, but he crams in anyway. Covering my body with his. Gripping my neck in one hand. Grabbing my hip with the other. Slamming his lips against mine.
“I’m sorry, Angel. Not for taking you. Never for that.” My blink is slow. “For leaving you.”
“Thank me later. Now go kill the bastards who dare to fucking shoot at you. You are The Alliance, Val. Show them why.”
Instead of the anger I expect to see on Aspen’s face, she looks impressed. “Okay, that’s kinda hot.”
