Into my mind and heart came some reassuring and powerful words I will never forget. A voice said, “Remember, Art, back a long, long time ago, when you and I sat in a great council in heaven. Remember, I said you could become like me. You thrilled at the idea. But, then I told you it would be hard, sometimes very hard. I promised you, however, with an oath and a covenant, that I would never leave you to suffer alone. Art, when you suffer, I suffer. When you hurt, I hurt. And, when you cry, I cry. I promised you then, and I will not leave you now.” (Ibid ., 28)
