For whatever reason, a surprising number of first-class employees (managers or otherwise) are not overly motivated by money. They want security, or respect, or the chance to learn or the opportunity to shine. Often they require little more than a decent salary in a company where they feel motivated and valued. You and I, on the other hand, for the purposes of this book, are greedy little sods solely bent on the pursuit of wealth.
