But then, in reality, they made their own luck. They never stopped searching. Perhaps they spent months or even years searching in the wrong place. Or possibly they hit upon the object of their search at the first attempt. No matter. Having found what they needed where they needed it, and having done what they judged needed doing, their search is over. And it is they who will become rich.
