Work, or duty, is not the enemy of spiritual life; the real enemy is ignorance, the mother of attachment and delusion.
True Knowledge makes a man realize that he is the Soul and has a body, not that he is the body and has a soul.
A true karmayogi engages in outer action but is inwardly detached from its result. It is not the action itself, but the greediness of the mind for the result, that strengthens our bondage to the world.
The best among the yogis is he who is compassionate to all beings.
The doer who is free from attachment and egoism, who is endowed with fortitude and zeal, and who is unaffected by success and failure—he is said to be of the nature of sattva.
