Social Comparison Bias: The tendency to dislike and compete with someone who is seen as physically, or mentally better than yourself. Example: Rod meets Carl for the first time. Carl is good-looking, well-built, and holds a PhD in physics. Rod can’t stand Carl but can’t pinpoint why.
