Total forgiveness must take place in the heart for otherwise it is worthless. ‘For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks’ (Matt. 12:34). If we have not truly forgiven, in our hearts, those who have hurt us, then it will come out – sooner or later. But if forgiveness has indeed taken place in the heart, our words will show it.
