If you have lost the blessing through a failure to promptly obey, do not be utterly discouraged, but begin over again, and the Lord will restore you.

The secret of prevailing prayer is this; that we are so in love with Jesus, so at one with Him, that we do not want anything to use or spend in any way that 'would grieve Him.
Hold on to God for the salvation and sanctification of your loved ones, and God will hear and answer you. Wrestle with Him, give Him no rest, remind Him every day of His promise and your burning desire, and He must hear and answer you.
So a man has a perfect heart when it beats in perfect loyalty to God -- wholly yielded up to fulfil all His purposes.
When God sees a heart perfect in loyalty to Him, He overlooks many mistakes and blunders of the head.
God also requires of us perfect obedience. Our performance may not always be perfect, but our spirit may be perfect.
