Maybe I spoke more about God than with him.
Maybe I was slowly becoming a prisoner of people’s expectations instead of a man liberated by divine promises.
Why didn’t I really enjoy the work, and why did I want to go back to my books to read about the spiritual life? Is selecting stones in the creek bed not the best spiritual life possible? Why do I always want to read about the spiritual life and not really live it?
Well, I prayed more this week than before but also discovered that I have not learned yet to make the work of my hands into a prayer.

John Eudes described heaven as the ongoing discovery of God’s mystery by living in the most intimate presence of God and each other. The Christian life on earth is simply the beginning of this heavenly existence.
The spiritual life does not consist of any special thoughts, ideas, or feelings but is contained in the most simple ordinary experiences of everyday living.
finally about the idea that solitude becomes really hard when you realize that nobody is thinking about you anymore. Then some place for God might become available in your occupied mind and heart.
then you know that you haven’t even started to create a little place for God in your heart.
