Teams that rebel against the sprint burndown usually are rebelling against the use of the burndown by other parties (perhaps the ScrumMaster or the product owner or even those outside of the direct Scrum team) and will cite a lack of time or unnecessary overhead as an excuse not to continue with the burndown.
