Complacency is a deadly foe of all spiritual growth.
There can be no doubt that this possessive clinging to things is one of the most harmful habits in the life.
To be specific, the self-sins are these: self-righteousness, self-pity, self-confidence, self-sufficiency, self-admiration, self-love and a host of others like them.
It is important that we get still to wait on God. And it is best that we get alone, preferably with our Bible outspread before us.
