Stress interferes with the neurological mechanisms that govern language production and perception.
The evidence suggests that the mind and the brain are interconnected, but it remains a mystery as to what, or where, that connection is. Indeed, it even appears that the mind has a “mind” of its own, and so does the brain!
Our brain stores a tremendous amount of information in long-term memory, but when carrying out a task it must select only the pieces of information that relate to that task in a meaningful and appropriate way.
