means we may be filled with the Spirit in proportion to how much we yield to the Spirit. The more we yield, the more empowered we are by the Spirit. The less we yield, the less power we have. This law is exhibited in particular in the life of Samson. This man, who yielded himself to the Spirit only at certain times, was only moved by the Spirit at certain times. “And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol” (Judges 13:25, emphasis added).
