The works of K Gibran have probably had more impact on developing the philosophy that has directed my life. The first book I read was Sea and Foam and then was introduced to the prophet by a friend during national service as a very young man. The Prophet had a profound effect on me and my belief systems and is still my favorite book.

THEN SAID ALMITRA, Speak to us of Love. And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them. And with a great voice he said: When love beckons to you, follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep.

This line has become a core value in life

“God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am in the heart of God.”

This should be a core tenant of all religious thought
