He considered that the ordinary level was to forgive others for mistreating us, but the spiritual level would qualify us to find excuses for them. In defending others he never lied, exaggerated, or sought far-fetched probabilities, but he sought the good aspects in the character of the accused person and focused on them. He mentioned numerous probabilities to justify what he had committed. In all that, he never hesitated to learn from the mistakes of others. As for his administration in peace, he never participated in a dispute, or caused pain to others.
