WHAT SORT OF HOBBY OR PLEASURE IS IT THAT WHEN YOU ARE ALLOWED TO DO IT, YOU ARE EITHER NOT AWARE THAT YOU ARE DOING IT OR IF YOU ARE AWARE, WISH THAT YOU DIDN’T AND IT’S ONLY WHEN YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO IT THAT IT SEEMS SO PRECIOUS?

having to go through life despising themselves, every budget day, every cancer scare, every time their family give them that haunted look, every time they are not allowed to smoke, or are the lone smoker in the presence of non-smokers, feeling unclean or out and out stupid. But do you know what is the most pathetic thing of all? The great prize that we obtain for our slavery, the loss of our health, money and self-respect, is just an illusion. Smoking does absolutely nothing for you at all!

Just as the pleasures of smoking are an illusion, so is that void. It is a cunning illusion that is merely a small part of the overall subtlety of nicotine addiction.

Every time we interfere with the natural functioning of the human body without understanding the full long term effects, we are really saying: “I know better than the person that created me.” We are playing at being God!

to use drugs to upset the natural functioning of the human body in order to solve problems which are purely mental, cannot be right.

The fact that part of their brain wishes that they didn’t have to smoke, or that they don’t understand why they smoke, doesn’t affect the situation one iota. The real difference between smokers and non-smokers is that the latter never have a desire to smoke.

Basically we have just two things to do. One we have already dealt with. That is to remove this feeling of frailty and insecurity that modern society has programmed within us, and to appreciate the truly immense potential and strength provided by the incredible machine. In other words to remove the void that makes us search for illusory solutions in the first place.

cigarettes appear to taste better at sometimes rather than others. After all one cigarette is going to taste exactly the same as another cigarette out of the same packet. The cigarette doesn’t change! It’s the concept of the smoker that keeps changing.

The greatest pleasure in life is just feeling great to be alive! There’s no substitute for that and the beautiful truth is, you don’t need one!

what you need to get clear in your mind is that smoking didn’t help you to concentrate, it made it harder for you to concentrate. It didn’t fill the void, on the contrary: SMOKING CREATED THE VOID!

It’s only this belief that everyone else is enjoying it that keeps us clinging to the illusion that there is some pleasure or crutch in smoking.

With every cigarette that you smoke part of your brain will be saying: “I need it or want it.” Another part of your brain is saying: “It’s controlling me, it’s costing me a fortune, it’s filthy and disgusting.” It’s not too difficult to close your mind to that, but one thing you cannot close your mind to, the same drug that you need to relieve your withdrawal pangs, just happens to be the No.1 killer poison in western society. Every time that you try to relieve your withdrawal pangs, you will progressively poison your own body: NOTHING WILL CHANGE THAT

When you look back on your smoking years, you will also find it difficult to understand why you ever bothered. The only difference between smoking and tug of war is that you will deliberately break the chain and feel like the match winner.

No one has a fear of stopping smoking until they become hooked. Ironically it is only created by starting smoking. That fear isn’t a protection for survival. On the contrary: IT GUARANTEES OUR DESTRUCTION

It is only your brain that is capable of craving. What’s more, it is only your conscious brain that does the craving. Every person has it within their power to decide whether they are going to crave a cigarette or not.

What powerful force makes every smoker a crank, warps our minds, makes us bury our heads in the sand, persuades us that it is better to lose our limbs or our lives rather than quit? It is: FEAR!!! Let me make it quite clear, I’m not talking about the fear of lung cancer, or the fear of death. I’m talking about an even greater fear. A fear that makes us block our minds to these things. The fear that we cannot enjoy life or cope with life without cigarettes.

Instead just get on with your life. Remember, you don’t have to wait until both your physical and mental health returns to normal, it will progressively improve the moment you cease the poisoning process. Expect good days and bad days, just as you did as a smoker, but realise that as your physical and mental health improves, the good days will be progressively better and the bad days not so bad. Realise and be aware that physically and mentally, a very important change is happening in your life.

To realise that there is nothing to give up and that the whole business of smoking is a subtle and insidious confidence trick on a gigantic scale. Having established that basic truth, we have RATIONALISED in order to reverse the massive and complex brainwashing that resulted from that confidence trick. The code word is: RATIONALISED
