Since this book is speculation about what would’ve happened if a presidential Contest went a different way than it did historically, you are prepared for some surprises. But the experience of a pre-teenage boy dealing with his uncle coming back from the war with a amputated leg is unexpected. But it is a learning experience in how to think about things that I have never experienced.
