God is bigger
than cancer, His light is brighter than cancer’s shadow, and there is always hope in Him.
Do not let this disease seem more powerful than it is. Do not let it fill your mind, steal your peace, invade your soul, or destroy your hope. It has no power to do those things unless you allow it to.
You are a lot stronger than you think, and God is a lot greater than you think.
Predictions are just that. They do not have the last word. Please remember today that your and your loved one’s times are in God’s hands and He doesn’t need “good odds” to heal.
Don’t be discouraged by whatever you—or doctors or medicine—can’t do, but live on the basis of what God says He will do.
All this hype claiming that if you don’t have a positive attitude and that if you get depressed you are making your tumor grow faster invalidates people’s natural and understandable reactions to a threat to their lives. That’s what I mean by the tyranny of positive thinking.[22]
You have to keep facing the light in order not to see cancer’s shadow so easily. You must keep turned in the right direction.
The way to communicate with God is to be turned toward Him, pouring out our hearts
But God gradually began to enlarge my picture of beating cancer as He spoke to my heart: “Whether you live or die from this is up to Me, but how you live is up to you.”
The pressure was off. I would do my part to physically combat this cancer, but I would not judge whether I beat it by whether I was cured. I would beat it no matter what because I would refuse to let it conquer me and control my life.
She is held in the palm of God’s hand, not in the grip of a disease.
However, we also beat it moment by moment as we allow God, not cancer, to control our thoughts.
We beat it hour by hour as we remember that God’s power within us is greater than the cancer.
And we beat it day by day as we trust in God’s strength and not in cancer’s weakness.
Anyone can beat cancer because being victorious is much more than just being physically cured.
