Humans are unequal in their aptitudes. This is one of the cruel but fundamental truths of human life.

Courage is kinetic. Courage initiates movement, action or fortitude. Courage exercises strength.

When there is no heroic objective in sight, boys will dare each other to do all sorts of stupid things.

It is not the strongest man who will necessarily lead, it is the man who takes the lead who will lead.

While the job description for men undeniably changes according to time, place and culture, the primal gang virtue that unifies them all is “being able to carry your own weight.”

Masculinity in the perfect ideal is aspirational, not attainable.
