“What in Gods’ name are you doing, woman?” He blurted out. “I’m joining Team Evil. Deal with it.”

“You’re threatening me with my own prisoner? You’re holding my hostage hostage in order to keep me as your hostage?”

She warned, not trusting him to resist the word ‘vengeance.’ It was like crack to him.

“If I’m stupid enough to allow that idiot to injure me, I might stab myself in shame. That’s really the gravest danger I could face.”
