Scripture does not specify this for us, but the Greek phrase literally means “terror,” “sights of terror,” or “terrifying things.” Terrorism has never been more prominent on a global basis than it is in our day. Terrorism will apparently get worse as we go into the future.
Today’s top scientists are saying that it is not a matter of if such a celestial body will strike earth, but when.
Some have also speculated that the signs in the heavens may also include some UFO phenomena.
why these “aliens” have come millions (billions?) of miles only to tell us the same kinds of things that New Agers have been telling us for decades.
I see Satan’s fingerprints all over current UFO phenomena.
a great deal of occult and psychic phenomena accompany current UFO incidents. Such phenomena have given rise to many “doctrines of demons,” which prophetic Scripture reveals will characterize the end times (see 1 Timothy 4:1-2 NASB; see also 2 Timothy 4:3-4).
men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power. Avoid such men as these (2 Timothy 3:1-5 NASB).
Notice that in the last days, people will love self (we might call this humanism), money (we might call this materialism), and pleasure (we might call this hedonism).
we see the attitude Jesus described in our own day.
Without a doubt, America is engulfed in a moral crisis. The moral fiber of this country is eroding before our very eyes, and if the trend continues, it is only a matter of time before the country capitulates.
40 percent of women not being married when they give birth.
People are far more interested in happiness than in holiness.
Humanism, materialism, and hedonism reign in the end times!
The danger, of course, is that a counterfeit Jesus who preaches a counterfeit gospel yields a counterfeit salvation (see Galatians 1:8). There are no exceptions to this maxim.
Ezekiel 34:1-7, for example, indicates that God’s sheep can be abused and led astray by wicked shepherds.
Why would Jesus warn His followers to watch out if they could not possibly be deceived?
False prophets may… • offer prophecies that do not come true (Deuteronomy 18:21-22) • cause people to follow false gods or idols (Exodus 20:3-4; Deuteronomy 13:1-3) • deny the deity of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:8-9) • deny the humanity of Jesus Christ (1 John 4:1-2) • forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from certain foods (1 Timothy 4:3-4) • promote immorality (Jude 4-7) • encourage legalistic self-denial (Colossians 2:16-23)
these individuals deceive people doctrinally and that they pretend to be true apostles of Jesus Christ.
No true apostle will ever say anything that contradicts the Word of God (see Galatians 1:8).
Many prophecy scholars believe that the technology is now in place for these things to occur.
Global evangelism. Matthew 24:14 tells us that prior to the second coming of Christ, the gospel must be preached to every nation. With today’s technology—satellites, the Internet, global media, translation technologies, publishing technologies, rapid transportation, and the like—this has never been more possible.
Economic control. We do not know specifically what form the mark of the beast will take, but we do know that the false prophet will use it to control who will be able to buy and sell, depending on whether they submit to worshipping the antichrist (Revelation 13:16-17). With today’s satellites, the Internet, supercomputers, biometric identification procedures (hand scanners, retina scanners, facial recognition scanners, and the like), RFID chips, and smart card technology, it would be easy for every selling establishme...

Prophetic Scripture may refer to nuclear detonations in the end times. For example, Revelation 8:7 tells us that “a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.” Moreover, Revelation 16:2 tells us that people around the world will break out with loathsome and malignant sores. Could this be a result of radiation poisoning following the detonation of nuclear weapons?
the technology clearly now exists for a third of the earth to be burned up and for mass casualties.
these prophetic signs are casting their shadows before them. They are emerging in preliminary form in our own day. We can logically infer that the stage is being set for the tribulation! 9 The First Half of the Tribulation: The Lamb and
Some Christians have taken this as metaphorically referring to the church. However, the context indicates the verse is referring to 144,000 Jewish men—12,000 from each tribe—who live during the future tribulation period (see Revelation 14:4). The very fact that specific tribes are mentioned in this context, along with specific numbers for those tribes, removes all possibility that this is a figure of speech.
the word tribe is never used of anything but a literal ethnic group in Scripture.
During the future tribulation, these 144,000 Jews—who become believers in Jesus the divine Messiah sometime following the rapture—will finally fulfill this mandate from God and be His witnesses all around the world.
Many expositors believe the two witnesses will actually be Moses and Elijah.
The two witnesses may be two entirely new prophets of God.
Scholars debate whether the ministry of the two witnesses belongs in the first half or the second half of the tribulation.
All Christians may expect a certain amount of general tribulation in their lives. Jesus Himself said to the disciples, “In the world you will have tribulation” (John 16:33).
But the end-times tribulation period is distinct.
The first set of judgments to be unleashed on earth are the seal judgments.
Scripture reveals that even though the church will be raptured prior to the tribulation period (1 Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-17; 5:9; Revelation 3:10), many people will become believers during the tribulation period. (These are the “sheep” of Matthew 25:31-46.) There will be many conversions (Revelation 7:9-10).
Christ urges His people to stand strong and not fear martyrdom.
Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10).
But death will simply be the gateway to eternal life with Jesus Christ, the divine Messiah.
Revelation 17 indicates that this apostate religious system will… • be worldwide ( verse 15) • be utterly unfaithful to the truth and therefore a “harlot” (verses 1,5,15-16) • exercise powerful political clout among the nations (verses 12-13) • seem outwardly glorious while being inwardly corrupt (implied in verse 4) • persecute believers during the tribulation period (verse 6)
The table is being set for this now.
New World Order is being planned now.
Those in high places are utterly wicked.
World Economic Forum has its people in every government of the world.
They have glorious ideas of how tech will make them live forever.
They are a godless bunch who have no respect for freedom s I could see them persecuting Christians in the future.
He has observed people firsthand in every conceivable situation, so he can predict with accuracy how they will respond to circumstances.
Satan is the great counterfeiter. He mimics God in many ways. A primary tactic Satan uses to attack God and His program in general is to offer a counterfeit kingdom and program.
In what ways does Satan act as the ape of God?
Satan has his own church
Satan has his own ministers of darkness
Satan has formulated his own system of theology, or “doctrines of demons”
Satan’s ministers proclaim a counterfeit gospel (Galatians
Satan has his own throne
Satan inspires false christs and self-constituted messiahs
