“We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works” (Ephesians 2:10). There you go. Gas up the car! Let’s get busy! Wait a minute, Paul wasn’t finished: “. . . which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10). That second part of the verse is kind of interesting. According to Paul, God had in mind even before I was born the “good work” he wanted me to do. I don’t have to dream it up, I don’t have to read a hundred business books and craft a “vision paper,” I don’t have to try a bunch of stuff and see what works. I just have to stop and listen.
